Applications and Uses
The ShakerScope is a completely unique medical light source, originally developed for use in developing countries and difficult environments, but applicable to a huge range of conventional medical applications worldwide.

Potential market sectors include: Hospitals, paramedics, General Practitioners, stockpiling of medical equipment for civil emergencies, military, commercial aviation, developing countries and veterinarians worldwide

Inspired by Trevor Baylis' clockwork radio and the directors' experience of working in remote areas of Zambia and Nepal,, the ShakerScope was originally conceived in 2003 as a device for eye examination in developing countries.

The original design was been subsequently refined to include interchangeable clip-on attachments for examination of the ears, nose and throat. The compact rugged device also has widespread application in paramedic, military, aviation and veterinary medicine, and has already received a lot of interest from health workers, investors and national press.
